About the Author

A writer who uses a typewriter and means it.

There is something deliberate about choosing to write on a typewriter in a world of instant deletes and endless revision. Every sentence committed to the page is a decision. That deliberateness shapes this book from the first line to the last.

This site is the home base for the book, for updates on future projects, and for anyone who wants to reach out directly. No newsletter funnels, no courses for sale, no complicated funnel. Just the work.

The Book

The title goes here.

A placeholder description for a book that hasn't been publicly named yet. When the title and blurb are confirmed, this paragraph will carry the real pitch: what the book is about, who it's for, and why it deserved to be written.

Until then: it's honest, it's personal, and it was written on a typewriter in a room full of other people's ideas. Make of that what you will.

What's Inside

Three things this book is not.

Useful to know before you buy.

01

Not a self-help book

There is no five-step framework, no morning routine, no habit-stacking system. This is a story. It is told straight and it asks nothing of you except attention.

02

Not a nostalgia trip

The typewriter is not a prop. The library is not set dressing. The setting matters because ideas live in physical space, and this book takes that seriously.

03

Not a safe read

Written without an editor's committee looking over a shoulder, this has edges. If you prefer stories sanded smooth, this is probably not for you. If you don't, it might be exactly right.

Early Readers

What people said about the draft.

Feedback from early readers who saw chapters before publication.

★★★★★
Read the first three chapters at midnight and didn't stop. There's a honesty to it that most published books have had edited out of them.
Early Reader Chapter draft, February 2025
★★★★★
You can feel the typewriter in the rhythm of the sentences. It reads differently from anything written on a screen. That's not a small thing.
Beta Reader Full manuscript, March 2025
★★★★★
Refreshing to read something that hasn't been smoothed over by a committee. Strong voice. Stays with you.

FAQ

Questions answered.

The things people ask most before they buy.

When does the book actually come out?

The launch window is summer 2025. Sign up via the contact form and you'll get a direct notification the moment pre-orders or sale links go live. No spam, just one email when it matters.

Where will I be able to buy it?

The plan is to sell direct from this site first, with links to verified retailers (Amazon, Ingram, and independent bookshops) added at launch. Buy buttons are being set up now and will be live before the summer launch.

Is there a digital edition?

Yes. Both paperback and e-book versions are planned. The physical edition is the intended reading experience, but a digital version will be available from launch day at a lower price point.

Why self-publish instead of going traditional?

Control. Not over royalties, but over the book itself. No editorial notes asking you to soften things, no cover designed by committee, no title changed for marketability. The book is exactly what it was written to be.

Can I invite you to speak or appear at an event?

Yes. Use the contact form below with details of the event, the audience, and the date. Availability is limited but the right invitations get a real response.
